Ceibwr Bay, north Pembrokeshire.

Ceibwr is a small pebble bay with spectacular rock formations and is only some 3 miles from our Bed and Breakfast Inn.

Please ask us for directions when you are here as it does involve driving down some very windey Welsh lanes. You can also catch a bus to Newport and then the Poppit Rocket service which stops at Ceibwr Bay.

Pebble Beach

There is a small pebbly inlet at Ceibwr which can make a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of Newport Sands, our largest beach on the north Pembrokeshire coast.

Along with being a great set off point for kayaking and Canoeing, Ceibwr is also a great spot for seal watching. The seals love this quiet little cove and they can be seen relaxing at the inlets mouth quite frequently. If you are really lucky, you will also see them with their pups, make sure you don’t forget the camera or the binoculars.

There is also a small river which flows down to the beach here.

Spectacular Cliffs

Ceibwr Bay HeadlandsFlanking both sides of Ceibwr bay are some of the most spectacular cliffs on the north Pembrokeshire Coast. Not only abundant in natural flora and fauna, you will see on closer inspection some amazing folds and fissures in the cliff faces. A window in to the past when this beautiful landscape was being created.

Pembrokeshire Coast Path

Ceibwr Bay RocksCeibwr is slap bang between Newport and Poppit on the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path. A reasonably demanding section of the Coast Path it also has some great stop off points and views near Ceibwr. Head south to find the Witches Cauldron (Pwll Y Wrach in Welsh), a large open shaft in the cliffs that ends in a beautiful pool with a beach at low tide. Take care if you venture down into the cauldron not to be cut off by an incoming tide. The Cauldron is another great spot for seal watching, they frequently come to play in the caves here.
