Well what a week we’ve just had here in Pembrokeshire. The weather has been unbeatable and spring is definitely here. If you have never been to Pembrokeshire during the spring time then you don’t know what you are missing.

Think quiet woodland walks, strolls along our stunning coastline and quiet Towns, Harbours and Villages waiting for you to discover them.

Newport our nearest Town (some 3 miles west of the Salutation) is an ideal place to visit from our Inn. There you will find cafe’s, shops, art galleries and so much more. We recommend a walk from the Town down to the Parrog and then across towards the iron bridge along the gravel footpath. Or if you are feeling energetic a walk to the peak of Carningli Mountain to enjoy the splendid views of the Pembrokeshire countryside and coastline.

North from our Inn brings you to St Dogmaels with it’s ruined Abbey and a little further again to Cardigan Town. On Wednesday, April 15 2015 Cardigan Castle will be opening it’s doors to the public for the first time in eons. See their website for a full break down of events for the opening. It looks like it will be quite an event! www.cardigancastle.com

Below are some spring photographs taken at locations nearby our Inn – just to whet your appetite.
